Josu’e Velney is the Founder and Director of Acquisition for VD Buys Houses. He is a Veteran who served five years in the Marines where he was deployed three times. In his first deployment, he was a lead scout machine gunner. In his second deployment, he was a team leader and in his third deployment, he was on a ship with the Navy where his team detained 32 pirates.
In 2009, Josu’e returned home and became a Somerville, MA firefighter. The following year, he purchased his first house because he needed a place to call home, and that’s when he realized how much he enjoyed the home buying process and creating win-win situations for sellers in distressed situations.
Today, Josu’e holds a bachelor’s degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in construction management. As a licensed home improvement contractor and general contractor, Josu’e is an expert at assessing the rehab necessary to bring a project to current market value and building homes from the ground up.
Josu’e currently holds numerous properties in Boston and Greater Boston. He is a licensed real estate broker and investor who likes to help motivated sellers get out of difficult situations where they need to sell quickly. Over the years, Josu’e has taken his leadership skills honed in the military and as a Fire Lieutenant and has applied them to real estate. His passion and focus are undeniable and he looks forward to continuing his mission of helping homeowners in the Boston area.
Jennifer Camacho was born in Puerto Rico where her passion for real estate started while working on the family farm. She moved to the United States when she was young and finished her high school education. With hard work and dedication, she was able to purchase her first home in 2011 and gained a stronger interest for real estate and interior design. Jennifer’s goals are to grow her real estate portfolio and continue to learn the many aspects of real estate sales, management and development. Jennifer specializes in accounting, property management and paralegal work. She always demonstrates enthusiasm to learn and help out as much as she possibly can. Jennifer loves music, beaches, traveling and spending time with her family. As our newest member to the team she’s looking forward to her future growth as well as helping Winter Hill Homes reach their highest potential.
